The episode starts with Vanraj inquiring as to what Anupamaa and Samar are concealing. Anupamaa claims that a lot is going on, but that for the time being, if Samar and Nandini need his help, he should stay by them as a father. Anuj recalls Devika’s statements that Anupamaa is great and thus unhappy most of the time and that he should make her happy; Anupamaa tries to leave home for a cooking competition when she notices climate change and hopes that rain doesn’t ruin the competition and cause Anuj to lose money.
Neighbours Sarla and Vimla barge in and holler at Anupamaa that their bahus are wanting to compete and then labour as a result of her. Anupamaa claims that she will not, and will not allow even a loser to lose the competition. Vanraj enters with Kavya and urges Baa to let Anupamaa do whatever she wants. Baa inquires as to why Vanraj is also assisting Anupamaa; nevertheless, Kavya is supporting her in her job search. He claims that Anupamaa will do anything she wants and that no one would be able to stop her. Anyway, both Anupamaa and Kavya work for Anuj, and they shouldn’t bother till Anuj respects Anupamaa and Kavya and remains away from their home and personal lives. She admits, it upsets her, but given the climatic change, she thinks it’s a good thing that Anupamaa has organised a culinary competition in the open.
Anupamaa conducts a cookery competition at her dancing school and thanks Kanhaji for resolving her difficulty. She also thanks Bapuji for allowing her to organise a karkhana competition. Anupamaa says Bapuji assured her that he would manage Vanraj, but she is distraught because she believes that if the tournament had been cancelled, many women’s hopes would have been destroyed. Devika and Anuj tell her to unwind because it’s only 1 p.m. Anupamaa is hopeful that the remaining contestants would arrive shortly. Vanraj used to humiliate Anupamaa, but now he stands by her and appreciates Anuj. Anuj claims that her ideas will never fail since she is a superstar, as Samar puts it. When Bapuji, Kinjal, and GK arrive at the competition location, they witness Anupamaa mingling with women and become emotional. Vimla’s bahu and other women laud Anupamaa, saying that she is an inspiration to them, that she taught them to dream and move out of their comfort zones, that her in-laws despised them, but that Anupamaa provided them with an excellent platform to showcase their skill, and so on. Vanraj always stopped Anupamaa, according to Devika, but Anuj became her charioteer. Anuj tears and Anupamaa cries as well.
