Preeta returns home, and Karan shocks her with a surprise. Preeta completes the first stage of her plan. Sherlyn is terrified of the blackmailer, and she convinces her that the blackmailer is fully aware of Rishabh’s truth. Sherlyn rushes over to Prithvi and informs him of the blackmailer’s 20-crore demand. She also displays the CD that Preeta gave her as proof. The latest blackmailer has Prithvi perplexed. She says she doesn’t have anything to say to him. Karan informs her that she may not have anything to say, but he does have something to say, an announcement to make. He announces his engagement to Natasha which will be held tomorrow evening.
Hearing him, Preeta and the Luthras are taken aback. Preeta instructs him to take a step forward and observe. She claims that he is unable to marry anyone when she is present. He confronts Preeta about their relationship. Preeta declares that she will not allow this to happen. Rakhi is concerned that Karan is dragging his feet with his plan, which could lead to friction between Preeta and him. Karan’s ideas are known to Preeta, who challenges him to try anything he wants. He doesn’t love Natasha, she believes and is only playing games with her. Natasha doesn’t love Karan, she is only using her and she can’t keep Karan happy. Preeta is all disheartened and can’t think about anything.
Shrishti informs Sameer that Preeta has not yet prepared. Shrishti and Sameer hide as Sherlyn enters the room. Sherlyn encounters the blackmailer/Preeta disguised as a man. Preeta informs Sherlyn that she knows the secret behind Rishabh’s separation from the family. Sherlyn is asked to inspect the CD. She wants Rs. 20 crores. Sherlyn admits that she lacks the necessary funds. Preeta threatens the Luthra family with the truth. Luthras will give her everything to preserve their kid, she says, but Sherlyn will be saved. Sherlyn is startled and forced to flee. Sherlyn appears to be caught in the trap.
