Today’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma 3 May episode starts with Jethalal (Dilip Joshi), an orthodox businessman not fearing to incur a loss but determined to expose a corrupt politician like Sevaklal. He puts his life at stake to catch him red-handed, but his plan goes for a toss when he gets caught after people open empty boxes of phones. Sevaklal asks his goons to get hold of Jethalal and all those who were involved in the sting operation.
Bhide and Madhavi, Iyer and Babita, Komal and Dr Hathi, Anjali, Roshan, Abdul, Bawri, Tapu Goli and Goghi come out in support of Jethalal after he gets caught by Sevaklal’s goons. They vow to expose Sevaklal for distributing mobiles to buy votes a day before the election. But their attempts go down the drain after their spy cameras get taken away. Sevaklal crushes the cameras under his feet and damages the evidence against him.
A while later, Popatlal and Sodhi arrive with the police and officers from the Election Commission. Popatlal says that they have evidence to prove Sevaklal distributed phones to the people of Garib Nagar and sought their votes in return. Sevaklal’s aides start laughing when Popatlal talks of evidence. Sevaklal’s goons blame Jethalal to save their Boss.
They say it was Jethalal who had asked them to distribute the phones to help Sevaklal win the elections. They say that it was an attempt to defame their Boss. They point fingers at Jethalal who pleads not guilty. Thankfully, the people of Garib Nagar support him by blaming Sevaklal.
