The episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah starts with Jethalal asking Babita Ji about why she is shopping alone and where Iyer bhai is. Babita replies to Jethalal by saying that Iyer is busy shopping for some decoration for their house. Jethalal asks Babita Ji to help him shop for some diyas. Babita Ji helps Jethalal. After a while Bhide sees Sonu chilling with Tapu Sena so he calls her and asks her to help Madhavi with shopping. Bhide asks Tapu Sena to keep an eye on everyone and see if anyone needs anything.
Taarak , Jethalal and Iyer leave for their work. Sodhi decides to stay and help Bhide with the Diwali Mela. After a while, a lot of people start coming to the Gokuldham Society for Diwali Mela. Meanwhile, a mugger comes to society and tries to steal a gold chain, a mobile phone and a purse from people in the Mela. Tapu Sena finds out the mugger and Bapuji makes him understand that mugging people is not a good thing. The mugger understands and gives everything back. Sodhi decides to give a job to the mugger. The mugger becomes happy.
Later on, Rita Reporter entered Gokuldham society and recorded the Diwali Mela Live on T.V. The shopkeepers thanked the Gokuldham members for helping them outsell their products. The Mahila Mandal tells everyone that it was just a good gesture they have towards everyone and that they will also celebrate Diwali with the Shopkeepers tonight. At night the Gokuldham members celebrate Diwali with the Shopkeepers. The Shopkeepers thank all the Gokuldham members.
