The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Dadi asking Suwarna to make the pooja’s arrangement as she wants to do Sirat’s mu dikhai ritual. Manish asks the doctor to come in a corner and asks if Dadi lost her memory. The doctor says Dadi met with an accident and might have lost her memory. The doctor asks Goenka’s not to upset Dadi or try to make her remind things that can hurt her. Sirat says she needs to tell Dadi that Kartik is not her husband. The doctor asks Sirat to wait for some time. Manish asks Sirat to follow as Dadi remembers. Sirat gets upset and leaves.
Sirat tells God that whenever she tries to move ahead, he pulls her back. Sirat cries and thinks about Ranvir. Manish comes to Sirat and consoles her. Manish says he understands that it’s not easy for Sirat to accept someone else as her husband. Suwarna comes to them and tells Sirat that Dadi is calling her. Sirat goes to Dadi. Dadi asks Sirat why she is upset. Sirat says she is fine. Nani comes there and talks to Dadi. Suwarna goes to Nani and explains to her the situation.
Later, Dadi performs the pooja and makes Sirat wear the ancestor’s bangles. Sirat says the bangles are too small. Dadi tries to put the bangles, but Sirat closes her fist and says the bangles are tight for her. Dadi then asks Sirat to take her to their room.
Meanwhile, Ranvir calls Nidhi and asks where is Sirat. Nidhi says Sirat is at Kartik’s house as Dadi has come home and is not well. Ranvir goes to meet Sirat. Sirat thinks she cannot enter Kartik’s room. She hears Ranvir’s voice and comes into the living room. She sees Ranvir and explains the situation to him. Goenkas ask Ranvir to understand their situation. Ranvir says Dadi’s health is above all.
Dadi comes there and asks who is he. Manish says he is Ranvir, Kartik’s friend. Dadi questions him. She asks him if he is married. Ranvir says yes. Dadi asks Ranvir to show his wife’s picture and takes his phone. Dadi sees Sirat and Ranvir’s wedding picture.
