The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik telling Ranvir that Sirat tied the thread without breaking it just for his long life. Kartik asks Ranvir to respect Sirat’s belief and tell her everything as she doesn’t know Ranvir’s life is in danger. Kartik explains that wives keep fast for their husbands and pray for their long life, but husbands never do anything to show their love. Ranvir asks Kartik if he should break Sirat’s heart by telling her that he is dying. Kartik asks Ranvir to tell Sirat everything and give her the chance to fight for him. Kartik says sometimes medicines cannot do it, but their wife’s prayer can do some miracle.
After the pooja, Sirat goes to Ranvir. She stumbles and Kartik holds her. Ranvir smiles and thinks Kartik will always be there with Sirat. Sirat tells her Raksha sutra fell short but she made it long and completed the pooja. Kartik says they should click pictures. Kartik clicks Ranvir and Sirat’s pictures. Sirat asks Kartik to take selfies with everyone.
Later, Chauhan scolds his servant as he dropped Ranvir’s old trophy. Ranvir comes there and asks him if he loves him so much then why he did not accept his love. Chauhan says Ranvir doesn’t know but there is something between Sirat and Kartik. He says when Ranvir will become a father that time he will understand the pain. Ranvir says in this birth he will not get that opportunity. Ranvir requests Chauhan to accept Sirat and leave all the grudges behind. Chauhan says he will never forgive Sirat as he hates her.
Kartik checks the best doctor for Ranvir. Manish and Suwarna come. Kartik says if they want to talk about his marriage then he is not interested. Kartik gets a call from Ranvir’s doctor and he leaves.
Ranvir practices how he will tell the truth to Sirat. Sirat gets Ranvir in the garden. Ranvir gives her the bracelet and says it’s his prayer for her. She lights the candles and dances around Ranvir. She says she took more rounds and now is feeling dizzy. Sirat closes her eyes. She opens her eyes and sees that Ranvir has fallen unconscious on the floor.
