The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik asking the inspector how they can arrest Sirat without proof. The inspector says Mr. Chauhan has filed a complaint against Sirat and they have the arrest warrant. Kartik tries to stop them. Manish holds Kartik and says he should not interfere in that matter. Kartik tells the inspector that he needs to talk to Sirat for 1 minute. The inspector agrees. Kartik tells Sirat that he has promised Ranvir and he will always be there for Sirat. Sirat says it’s her fight and she will handle it. The inspector takes Sirat. The media comes there and asks Sirat if she has an affair with Kartik, why she married Ranvir when she loved Kartik and why she killed him. Kartik is about to go there. Manish holds Sirat and says there is a lot of media and they should not go there.
Kartik thinks he promised Ranvir but cannot save Sirat. Manish asks Kartik to think about his family first. Mr. Chauhan thinks now only the media will believe him but tomorrow the court and the whole world will believe him. Sirat gets down from the police van. The media again comes to her and questions her. Aradhana looks at her.
The inspector locks Sirat in Jail. Aradhana goes to Sirat and asks if she had affair with Kartik, why she got married to Ranvir; and if she did not want to be with Ranvir, why she did not divorce him. The constable says no one is allowed to talk to Sirat.
Meanwhile, Manish calls a lawyer. The lawyer tells Manish that Kartik has to state that he has nothing to do with Sirat and then no one will trouble him. Nani faints. Kartik takes Nani to her room. Kairav tells Kartik that everything will be fine.
Manish asks Dadi to go to Kartik and explain to him. Dadi does the same. Kartik says he will always have Sirat’s back, as she also helped Kairav when he was in need.
Chauhan tells his lawyer that they have to prove in court that Sirat has killed Ranvir. Aradhana comes there. Chauhan says he paid the media to spoil Sirat’s name, why she has come again. Aradhana says she doesn’t work for money, she says he hates cheaters and needs to know both sides of the story. She says now she will get involved in the case and in that Chauhan’s name will also be dragged. Sirat thinks about Ranvir and cries.
