The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik asking Sirat not to talk negatively as he will always be there for her. Kairav comes to them and says that Dadi is calling them. Sirat says they were talking about something important and will come in some time. Sirat tells Kartik that he doesn’t have to say anything as she knows he will always be there for him. Sirat says their friendship is special and not ordinary which she realised when Kartik came to Dalhousie to find her. Sirat says she wants to tell everyone the truth and not hide anymore. Dadi calls them out. Sirat says she will go and start telling the truth and Kartik can come and complete it. Kartik stops Sirat and says they have decided to continue with their drama until she proves herself innocent. Kartik says they should stick to their plan and soon they will inform everyone about the truth.
Kartik and Sirat go to Dadi. Dadi says she doesn’t want the atmosphere to affect her grandchildren, so they will celebrate Janmashtami. Dadi asks Sirat-Kartik to become Radha-Krishna. Kartik says they cannot. Dadi says she understands that Kartik has memories with Naira of this day but he has to keep the memories in a corner of his heart and start a new life for his kids. Sirat says she cannot do it. Kartik says Sirat has her boxing match. Suwarna says Sirat’s match is in the evening and they can become Radha-Krishna in the morning. Dadi says she was Radha-Krishna to come on Janmashtami and asks Kartik to make a promise. Kartik promises Dadi. Sirat looks at Kartik.
Later, Sirat tells Kartik that he should have not promised Dadi as she doesn’t want to become Radha. Kartik says that he promised Dadi to get Radha-Krishna and for that many people can come to their house, they don’t have to become Radha-Krishna.
The next day, Goenkas starts the Janmashtami preparation. Someone calls Kartik and informs him that the Radha-Krishna couple cannot come to their house. Kartik worries. Sirat goes on the stage and asks everyone to welcome Radha-Krishna. Kairav enters as Krishna and Sirat gets Akshara as Radha. Dadi gets happy. Kairav dances and imagines Kartik dancing with Sirat as Radha and Krishna.
Kartik sees the media peeping into their house. The media says that Goenkas are ruthless as they have the blame of murder on their head and still they are celebrating. Manish says it is all because of Sirat. Sirat asks Manish to stop. Dadi asks Sirat to watch her tone. Sirat gets rude to everyone. She says for so long she is saying that she is innocent but no one believes her. Kartik asks Sirat not to talk to his father in such a tone. Sirat says Kartik came to her as he wanted to clear his name by proving her innocent and she came to prove herself, but Manish doesn’t believe her and keeps taunting her. Sirat says she doesn’t need anyone’s help and says she is leaving. Kartik looks at Sirat and cries.
