The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Surekha taunting Sirat that she was planning Kairav’s birthday but without doing the decorations, she went to sleep. Sirat apologises to everyone and says that she was having muscle ache, so she took a painkiller and doesn’t know when she fell asleep. Kartik says it’s okay. Manish says Sirat’s mistake is always forgiven. Suwarna asks Manish to talk about it later, now they shall cut the cake. Kartik and Kairav cut the cake. Everyone sing for them. Sirat promises herself that she will not make such a mistake again and will celebrate Kairav’s birthday as Naira used to celebrate every year.
The next day, Kartik comes down and sees that all the decoration is done. Everyone talks about Sirat at the breakfast table. Gayu says Sirat was awake all night and completed all the preparations. Dadi says even she made yummy breakfast for them, Kartik gets angry. He calls Sirat and asks if she is prepared for her demo match. Sirat says she is prepared. Kartik tells Sirat that she needs to focus on her career too and not only on her family. Sirat says she can manage everything and will play her demo match properly.
Kairav checks all his gifts. He gets a video game from Manish while Kartik and Sirat gift him a laptop. Kairav thanks them. Sirat says she has one more surprise for Kairav and will get it by evening. Kartik asks Sirat to get ready and come for the meeting with Mr. Gupta. Kartik goes to the federation and meets Mr. Gupta. He informs them that Sirat will come in some time.
Sirat goes to the orphanage and asks a lady if some kids from the orphanage can come to Kairav’s birthday. The lady says they have to talk to the manager. The manager comes and asks if she is Naira. Sirat introduces herself and says she wants few kids to come to their house for Kairav’s birthday. The manager says that it’s not possible as she needs to give a notice a few days before. Sirat worries.
Mr. Gupta gets upset and tells Kartik that he is waiting for Sirat for so long, but Sirat doesn’t care about their time, so even they will not care about Sirat They leave. Kartik calls Sirat and asks where she is. Sirat says she had come to take a surprise gift for Kairav. Kartik scolds Sirat.
Later, Everyone gets ready for the party. Sirat also gets ready like Naira and comes down. Kairav sees her and says, Mumma. Sirat sees the cake and says that she needs to do some decoration and takes the cake. She stumbles due to high heels and the cake falls. Sirat cries. Kartik holds her. Sirat says she cannot do anything wrong.
Kartik asks Sirat why she is trying to think like Naira. Sirat cries and says that she wants to become like Naira. Sirat says she wants to make everyone happy as Naira used to do. She says she wants to make everything right as Naira used to do so that everyone will accept her. Sirat cries and says she failed as she couldn’t become like Naira. Kartik says Sirat can never become like Naira.
