Today’s Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai 9 July episode begins with Guard giving all the newspapers to Rakesh. He assured Rakesh and Vanita that no paper was available outside. Vanita told him to tell anyone who enquired about the paper that it would come late. Dhondhu agreed. Rakesh thanked Vanita for her help. She told him to thank her once they succeeded. Naina (Ashi Singh) came to office. She walked up to Sharon who was preparing the list of actors. She said she was about to. Naina was curious about the story and telecast. Sharon said she didn’t know about the story but it would air 4 days in a week. Naina made random talk with her. She dropped the file intentionally. Sharon bent to pick it. Naina was about to add the photos in the file when Bakshi came there. He asked Sharon to give him the list and sent Naina to her desk. Naina went. Bakshi told Sharon to call all these actors.
Aditya asked Rakesh if the plan would work. Rakesh told him to wait and watch. Gopal was looking for newspaper outside the main door. He called out to his wife. Rakesh and Aditya were watching everything. Sejal also told her in-laws that no one got paper today. Gopal said that he cannot live his life without paper. He could have done anything but he decided to become a writer. He had a passion to be something. He wanted to make a change. The newspaper told people that something was going on in the world. Without it, everything seemed dull. He felt good when he read the paper in the morning. It felt so incomplete without it. Rakesh stepped out. Aditya felt similar way about acting. It wasn’t a pass time. Not everyone could be this passionate. He must have gotten it from him. He had come here for this reason only. He will be very proud the day he became something. Aditya looked at his father who headed inside.
Gauri and Sejal followed him sadly. Aditya told Rakesh to let it be. He didn’t understand why he didn’t realise that they should let people do what they like. He walked away sadly. Bakshi was talking to Sharon about the auditions when Naina walked in. She pretended to faint. Bakshi worried. Gauri asked Gopal to call Aditya if he was missing him. Gopal denied. His wife said she knew he was sitting here to see a glance of him. Rakesh came there. Gauri stopped Gopal from turning rude. Rakesh shared that he had started tutoring the kids as he wanted to do it. Naina and Sameer were supporting him in this. Gauri said this wasn’t anything wrong. Gopal called it compulsion. He was living in the house of his SIL after all. Rakesh said they had never said anything but he didn’t like it. He asked Rakesh to go home then. Rakesh said he had to come. He also had a son named Arjun. Sejal asked him why he did not stay with Arjun. Rakesh went quiet. Sejal apologized to him for intervening in his personal matter. Rakesh said it was okay.
He wanted to stay with his son but he couldn’t. He was staying with Naina when he really wanted to be with his son. He was telling them all this as Gopal wasn’t upset over whatever happened. Bakshi scolded Naina for passing out. He told Sharon to end Naina’s internship today itself. Naina said she came to give him the script only. She was typing the entire night and didn’t even eat anything. He sent Naina with Sharon to eat something. Naina smiled. Rakesh said he always forced his dream upon his son. He never asked him what he wanted to do. He pushed him towards cricket but he couldn’t do it. He failed in it as his heart wasn’t in it. It was natural. One lost trust on themselves. He lost both in life and cricket. He didn’t know when he pushed his son away from him. He cannot end that distance even if he wanted to. He requested him not to walk on the same path or he will only end up with regrets. He left. Gopal looked at his wife who nodded at him. Gopal nodded. Bakshi and the team are discussion about the prospective storyline. A girl spills ink on her file. Bakshi asks his team till when will they write on papers. Technology has advanced.
Naina counters him. The magic is different when the story is weaved on papers. Bakshi glares at her. Sameer and Rakesh are boosting Aditya’s morale but he stands with a sad face. Rakesh adds that Naina has put the photo in the file. You both will be famous now and give autographs! Aditya says will it make Baba happy. I would like it when he will be proud. I would feel as if I have achieved something only when my Baba will walk with his head held high. He begins to go when he notices his Baba standing at the door. Aditya retreats in his steps. Gopal walks in. He tells Aditya he has to hear him now. Stay quiet. Bakshi told Naina that this magic will disappear soon. Naina apologized to him. She was only sharing what she thought. He told her to choose the story on which they should work. He kept taunting her as she fumbled. She spoke of a mother-son’s story. She wasn’t his real mother. They should show a different angle to a step mother.
They have always believed otherwise. Other teammates thought hat more characters will be required. Naina shared her point of view behind her idea. He taunted her for her narrow minded thoughts. He asked another girl to write one liners and a storyline for one of the chosen ideas. Naina stood there with a sad face. Gopal said he didn’t know he loved their Baba so much. He couldn’t understand it and asked for forgiveness. Aditya told him not to apologize. He will apologize. He had played many games with him. Gopal shushed him. He wouldn’t have to hide anything if he knew the actor which was inside him. He had understood everything now. He will walk with a high head with him in the society. Everyone smiled.
