It was Shakespeare who said All the world’s a stage. And who better to know it than our actors. Theatre has been cited as a stepping stone to films since the beginning of cinema in India. Most of our top TV actors, be it, Aasif Sheikh, Himani Shivpuri, to Rohitashv Gour, owe their beginnings to the theatre.

One of the talented TV actors, Yogesh Tripathi, who essays the role of Happu Singh in the popular &TV show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shared his undying love for theatre and his fond memories

As per reports in IWMBuzz.com, he was quoted saying, “My journey began with Lucknow theatre. Learning from the stalwarts of theatre gives me immense respect for this industry. The showcased plays had a very typical style of performing, and the genres back then were restricted to comedy, romance, or suspense. Nowadays, the genres are more evolved, with drama, rom-com, and topical issues doing the rounds. I will always be grateful to the theatre as it gave me my first role in the television industry and made me who I am today.”
