Radhika Apte has become one of the well-known actresses in the Indian industry. Her hard work and talent hold a huge share in her success. Radhika Apte is no star kid, so she had to make a place for herself in the industry without any help.

Radhika started her acting journey by doing theatre. While she was in Pune she learned Kathak under Rohini Bhate. During her training in Kathak Radhika developed a keen interest in the theatre while she was in Pune. and decided to go to Mumbai to do films. But her experience in Mumbai wasn’t very warm. Radhika Apte told ScoopWhoop in 2018, about her struggles in Mumbai which included managing with a salary of Rs.8,000 to Rs.10,000 from theatre and having to deal with odd house owners and roommates in Goregaon. Discouraged from her experience she decided to go back to Pune.

Radhika later went to London for a year to study contemporary dance at London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Her experience in London was life-changing and she got to learn a lot. After returning from London she was ready to go back to Mumbai, and her second chance at Mumbai was very positive.

Radhika Apte got her first small role in a Hindi film Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi. Her breakthrough role was in 2011 in movies I Am and Shor In The City. Her love for theatre is still there and she is still actively involved in it. She has been part of several theatre plays like Aasakta Kalamanch, Kanyadaan, and Bombay Black. In the year 2013, she did a role in the Indian play Uney Purey Shahar Ek. Radhika Apte also plans on doing English plays in London.
