Patralekha, who made her Bollywood debut in City Lights, is currently enjoying the web space as she is seen in ZEE5’s latest release, Badnaam Gali.

The film deals with surrogacy but in a light-hearted way and the actress believes it is essential to talk about issues. “I thought that the girl is someone who I am but also someone who I have never portrayed. When you listen to the name Badnaam Gali, you wonder what it is like. But the film talks about an important topic like society and how we judge people. It, however, looks at these serious issues in a fun way.”

She adds, “It was a great experience working for the film. When the director and writer narrated the movie, their vision was clear. I haven’t tried comedy in my career, so it was fun to explore the genre. I am a fun-loving person in real life. I would love to do more fun stuff. The entire cast was happy on set. I have never been pregnant in real life, hence it was a fun experience. I thought it was comfortable working with Divyenndu as we knew each other.”

When asked about the Mother’s Day concept, she says, “It is new to our country; for us, festivals matter more than mother’s, father’s and daughter’s day. As for me, I just convey my love to my mother on the day. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers.”

Good luck, girl!
