Shreya Dhanwanthary, the charming personality has given an effortless yet strong performance in Zoom Studio’s Originals series, The Reunion.

Playing the girl who is in a major soup, her character Deva goes through a lot and has an emotional journey via the series. Just when she is trying to handle the irrepairable crack in her marriage to Dev (Anuj Sachdeva), she gets to know of her pregnancy.

Says Shreya, “There was nothing that was similar to me and the character except the fact that we both were look-alikes (smiles). The first thing that excites me about a new role is when it sounds completely different to what I am. As long as there is nothing to compare with respect to your real life, it is good. It means you get to explore as you get into the new character, personality traits etc. So this is what I got to do as Deva in The Reunion. She’s one girl who is completely different from who I am.”

Shreya who is an avid reader is also interested in music and movies. She’s an advanced level scuba diver and loves to make things herself through her recently acquired knowledge in carprenty.

Talking about the digital market in India, she states, “India has a long way to go till it gets anywhere closer to the International market. We have started to get good quantity of content but I am not sure about the quality. We need to keep giving chances to new writers and directors to come up with new and engaging content. We also need to be little braver in terms of topics we consider and things we show. The answer to everything in life is nothing but courage. So there lies the answer to everything.”

Shreya will soon be seen in Amazon Prime’s series, The Family Man.

On her future ambitions, she states, “I am not sure about anything right now. All I know is that I want to do everything, and work hard to get what I want.”

Way to go, Shreya!!
