Our television industry has given us many finest artists. Jagdeep, a great star from the Hindi cinema business, made his journey to heaven on 8 July 2020. In Mumbai, the actor who wowed audiences with his flawless acting and spot-on comic timing breathed his final breath. Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafri was his true name, although he was better known by his stage name, Jagdeep. The Sholay actor began his career as a kid performer and has since appeared in over 400 films, including Ramsey Brothers’ horror classic Purana Mandir. While everyone knows how charismatic he was on television, many people are unaware that he also appeared in the popular TV drama Phulwa. Yes, you read that correctly. Jagdeep played the part of Bade Baba in the show, which starred popular TikTok sensation Jannat Zubair in the lead role as a young artist. He also had a few moments with Jannat. Meanwhile, the iconic performer was buried in a Mumbai graveyard after passing away owing to age-related difficulties. The late actor’s sons, Jaaved Jaaferi and Naved Jafri, as well as a few family members and close relatives, were present for the final rituals.

We sincerely hope and pray that Jagdeep’s soul rests in peace.
