Talented and good looking actor Pallavi Mukherjee, who was first noticed in ALTBalaji’s Gandii Baat 3 (Rajkumar story) has two major digital projects up her sleeve.

“First is again ALTBalaji’s Class of 2020 (Lost Boy Productions). I play an uber smart and innocent in the same breath, small towner gal, Palak. It is a typical high school scene full of hook-ups, breakups, patch-ups, friendship and love.”

“I am very happy to be associated with Ekta Ma’m again after Gandii Baat. I am thankful to amazing guy Vikas Gupta, who has made me look like a real school girl.”

“Next, I have Prime Flix series Mandi. Here I play a girl who gets employed in a salon that gives work to transgenders. Although Article 377 is history, social apathy towards alternate sexuality still runs deep. Our story delves into this angle. My small town character falls in love with a girl there but she is unsure about her sexuality.”

“It is not bold as the title suggests. Rather, it is a different kind of romance.”

“We have wrapped up the shoot of the latter with editing remaining, so hope to go live in a month or two, while Class of 2020 hopefully will see the light of day sometime next year.”

Pallavi, whose formal name is Pallabi, hails from Bengal. “I have done Bengali TV shows and web series before coming to Mumbai. I have done a little work in Hindi TV as well, i.e. a cameo in Taarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma and Jhansi Ki Rani.”

Talking about Gandii Baat, which changed the ball game for her, Pallavi says, “It was great fun playing a girl who everybody flips for, and she marries a boat for love. I am now called as Bichii (character name) and not Pallavi.”

“Agreed, Gandii Baat was bold, but that was needed by the script. Having said that, I have not yet kissed on screen. Director Sachin Mohite sir really helped us on our way during those scenes.”
