The hot Divya Agarwal has really gone places. After winning TV reality shows, she is all set to try her hand at acting, in ALTBalaji horex series, Ragini MMS, along with beau Varun Sood.
Says Divya, “It is a big challenge to get into Sunny Leone’s shoes (Season 2). Also, our franchise is one of the biggest shows on the platform. Shoot will start next week and I am working very hard to make sure that I can rise to the occasion.”
Talking about her journey in the entertainment world, she says, “It can be divided into two categories, i.e. before gaining popularity and after.”
“As for the former, I have struggled a lot — as a home-shopping channel model, choreographer and background dancer. I have even body-doubled for Katrina Kaif.”
“Winning Splitsvilla 10 changed the ball game completely. I started getting a lot of work, including international songs (Chance) and game shows (Travel With A Goat). This was followed by triumphing another reality show, Ace Of Space (where she met Varun). And now comes the above web series, which I always wanted to be a part of,” says this Navi Mumbai girl, who holds a masters degree in journalism.
Divya has had her fair share of controversies (triangle with former guy Priyank Sharma and Benafsha Soonawallah), but she takes them in her stride.
“Whatever you do in life will have consequences, good or bad. I enjoy the good and try to learn from the bad. No regrets about anything, for I have achieved a lot in life. I am glad to have come at a time when there are a multitude of options (TV, films and web) up for grabs. It boils down to your personal level of efforts and zeal.”
In closing, Divya has no qualms about the fact that Ragini MMS has a lot of s*x scenes. “I am very strong. You need to understand that I am just playing a character and she is unlike the real Diyva.”
