Popular actor Pravisht Mishra is excited to test the waters of the vertical format with the uniquely conceptualised show Kitchen God for Pocket TV. The series is a drama plot which focuses on a culinary reality show and how the protagonist Tej Bagga, played by Pravisht, manages to stand tall after being betrayed in love, and seeks the path of redemption and personal glory.

We at IWMBuzz.com talked to Pravisht about the show and his experience shooting for the vertical format.

He says, “Vertical shows are present in every platform these days. But Pocket TV has come up with a unique format, and it is nothing like what is seen elsewhere. Kitchen God is a great show. I had the experience of working with amazing co-actors like Ruhaanika Dhawan and many other seniors. The makers of our show, Bharat Kukreti and Pankaj Mishra, who have written, produced and directed The Kapil Sharma Show, were amazing. To be in their company was a great experience in itself.”

On the concept of the show, Pravisht explains, “Kitchen God is unique in its concept. It has food as its base emotion. It also has drama, romance, cooking and all other elements in it. That is the most amazing USP of the show.”

He goes on to talk about his character, saying, “Tej Bagga is about to win the competition with his identity not revealed, when he faces betrayal in love. He is thrown out of the show subsequently. He loses everything in life and the concept later, moves to how he meets another girl, who gives him the confidence to live again, and win the show, this time under his own identity.”

Pravisht Mishra has featured in successful shows like Barrister Babu, Banni Chow Home Delivery, Durga aur Charu, Yeh Hai Chahatein etc.
