Amol Parashar is one of the most loved and admired actors in the Hindi entertainment industry. The man has found some credible work in the past on the OTT platform and shows like TVF Tripling, Feels Like Ishq, A Viral Wedding, Ready To Mingle, & many more have helped him establish his niche as an actor in the entertainment industry. He recently impressed one and all with his brief yet impactful stint in Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sardar Udham’ where we saw him play the character of Bhagat Singh.
During an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz, when asked about how he prepared to ensure that the role doesn’t look like a caricature of how other actors have played the role of the legend in the past, he was quoted as saying,
“Well, the entire credit for the same goes to Shoojit da. He gave me complete freedom to explore the character of Bhagat Singh. We have had our own preparation starting from workshops to meetings and a bit of reading as well to know more about the legendary personality of the man. While preparing, it feels surreal to even think about what he did in his early 20s for the country. His indomitable spirit and fearless approach teach us a lot. Shoojit da always told me to forget what others have done and treat it like my own. He ensured I have my individuality intact while playing this and I guess that’s why despite a brief stint, it managed to make an impact for the audience.” Check out the video below –
