American model Bella Hadid, real name Isabella Khair Hadid, is well-known. She was named “Model of the Year” at Model.com’s Model of the Year Awards in 2016 and is widely regarded as one of the most fashionable and gifted young models in the modern fashion industry. With a Flynn Skye commercial assignment, Hadid launched her modeling career at a young age. Later, she worked as a model for well-known fashion houses like Diane von Fürstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Balmain, and Tommy Hilfiger. She has also been featured on the covers of publications such as “Seventeen,” “Elle,” “Teen Vogue,” and “Vogue Australia.” She has also started her own clothing line, Robert Riley’s, in addition to modeling. She is also very active on social media, with 17 million Instagram followers and roughly 1.5 million Twitter followers.

Bella Hadid has worn more different hairstyles on the runway during Fashion Month than most of us have ever worn in our whole lives. Versace had short, side-swept bangs, Marc Jacobs had a big, Jackie O-inspired bouffant, and Haider Ackermann had a futuristic beehive. She also wore lengthy extensions for Saturday’s Vivienne Westwood presentation, which she reportedly enjoyed so much she kept them in for a birthday celebration that night. Hadid wore her momentarily long hair in a 1990s-inspired style, as opposed to wearing it down as she did on the runway. Hadid published a series of images from Saturday night on her Instagram grid, showing her donning a pinstriped vest, slacks, white button-down shirt, burgundy tie, and pearl belt by Dilara Findikoglu. But her hair is a classic masterpiece, perhaps cooler than the dress.

The long, bottom layers are left loose, while the top layer is pulled back, tucked in, and fastened behind her head to resemble one of the best 1990s inventions: the Topsy Tail. But what’s going on up front is what gives it a distinctly 1990s feel. The ultimate ’90s fad, many loose, chin-length strands frame Hadid’s face. Her makeup is another example of how the ’90s served as an influence. Her lipstick is a lot lighter than the hue that lines her lips.

Not just this look has been seeing a comeback. Other ’90s fashions seen on celebrities include chunky highlights, fluffy scrunchies, flipped-out ends, and extremely high ponytails that are coiled at the base and sharply separated in the front. In reality, Hadid was one of the well-known figures to experiment with that look. She’s helping to revive trends now despite the fact that she was born in 1996 and likely missed them the first time around.
