Isabella Khair Hadid, an American model, joined the fray in 2014 after signing with I.M.G. Models. She was chosen by the industry as the winner of the Model of the Year 2016 Awards, which were presented on Model.com in December 2016.

Isabella Khair Hadid, the daughter of former model Yolanda Hadid and real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her mother is an American with Dutch ancestry, while her father is an American of Palestinian background. Her siblings are Gigi, an older sister and fellow model, and Anwar, a younger brother. She is related to Marielle and Alana, her father’s older half-sisters.

Initially, for eleven, Hadid and her brothers were raised in Santa Barbara, California, on a ranch. Teenage Hadid participated in equestrian competitions and had aspirations of going to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, but she was forced to stop in 2013 owing to her severe Lyme disease. She had persistent Lyme disease, but it wasn’t disclosed until October 2015. Along with her mother and brother, she received a chronic disease diagnosis in 2012.

When Bella Hadid collapsed mid-runway at the Michael Kors show yesterday, it was reminiscent of a Carrie Bradshaw catwalk scene. But the Model responded with a lighthearted tweet, denying that she was “fashion roadkill.” Hadid bounced back from her fall as best as one can after tripping in stiletto heels on a runway and appeared to be unharmed. And based on that humorous dismissal, it seems she lacks any emotional ones as well. She posted an Instagram video showing herself rounding the catwalk before falling, and we can all see what’s going to happen from there. Along with a thank you to the clothing company, she writes:
“(Seconds before).”

Hadid’s reaction after her fall was remarkably Carrie Bradshaw-like. Bradshaw thinks to herself during the imaginary Sex and the City mishap, “I had a choice; I could slink off the runway and let my inner model die of shame.” “Alternatively, I could start over, warts and all. That’s exactly what I did. Since true people always get back up after falling down in life and continue moving forward.”

They tweet about it now because, well, it’s 2016, after all.
