“Love is the most powerful emotion, and that makes it the most dangerous’. Folks, we have heard this simple yet impactful line about the emotion of love on multiple occasions in our lives but how close have we actually come to experience the literal meaning of it? Well, the romance between Ravi Dubey (Sidharth) & Nia Sharma (Roshni) in Jamai 2.0 Season 2.0 is perhaps the quintessential example in today’s context to describe such kind of love. The sequel in the form of Jamai 2.0 Season 2 continues from the cliffhanger moment from where it left the last time to make some big revelations.
The episodic saga begins on a high with Sidharth and Roshni enjoying quality private time with each other in their bedroom as they have now started to live together at DD’s (Roshni’s mother played by Achint Kaur) mansion. While love & romance between the two is at an all-time high, what also simultaneously bothers Roshni is Sidharth’s baffling behavior at times where he disappears randomly for days without any prior intimation, thereby making Roshni feel at times like she’s dating a ‘closed book’ in reality. The main reason behind it is Sidharth’s primary rationale to seek revenge from Roshni’s brother, who has been on the run, for the cold-blooded murder of Sidharth’s sister.
While everyone thought this particular factor will be the most intriguing part of Season 2 as to how Sidharth gets hold of the culprit, the series takes a complete U-turn when Roshni finds out about Sidharth’s concealed intent. This makes Roshni all the way more aware of the happenings around her and to get to the depth of the matter, she decides to keep an eye on Sidharth’s actions. From spying on him to eventually tapping his phone, she goes all guns blazing to protect her brother’s life who’s on the run. This results in a big barney between the two and what follows is something unthinkable. While Sidharth for the first time ever comes out clear and declares in open that he will destroy Roshni’s brother because of the murder of his sister, Roshni too accepts his big open challenge and dares him to do that successfully till she’s alive. But what happens after this interesting confrontation scene? Will Sidharth be able to get hold of DD’s son to seek revenge or will the sister in Roshni be successful in protecting her brother’s life from the revenge-seeking clutches of her lover? No more spoilers here.
The salient quality of Jamai 2.0 Season 2 is how all the lives of the primary characters get entangled for their own vested interests. All the dots from the previous season get connected this time, justifying every action of Sidharth, Roshni & DD. The viewers too will get an interesting space to do their own bit of puzzle-solving as the mystery unfolds one after the other. But what will appeal to everyone the most is how Roshni maintains her ground despite going through an emotional rollercoaster ride when she realizes that she can only have either of the two in her life between ‘love’ & ‘family’.
Ravi Dubey & Nia Sharma do justice to their characters and they certainly impress their fans with much impact. Achint Kaur continues with her impressive stint from where she left the last time and Vin Rana impresses with his limited screen presence as Abeer. Director Aarambhh M Singh has kept the spice and ‘mystery’ alive almost till the very end which will make viewers want to binge on it till the climax. The transition of episodic series format from daily soap has been done for the better and with the unexpected twists and turns happening one after the other in a jiffy, it keeps you hooked to the screens till the very end.
Overall, this show is something you would relish watching for the mystery factor and it can;t get better if you are loyal fans of Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma. So grab your popcorn and enjoy.
