Sherni, as the name suggests, is a Story TV microdrama that tells the tale of a powerful woman, woven into a predictable family drama. However, while exploring the themes of high-voltage drama, revenge, betrayal, emotions, and comeback, the short-format series keeps viewers invested, wanting to see more.
The story follows Colonel Aditi Rajput (Nyra Banerjee), who marries Rishabh (Kabeer) while dreaming of a happy life, but behind her back, her husband cheats on her with Myra (Neetha Shetty). Though she catches them red-handed, she is the one who gets humiliated and disrespected. However, she bounces back as a reputed army officer, and what happens next is best experienced yourself.

The direction of this vertical drama is convincing, blending high-voltage family drama, inner conflicts, betrayal, and revenge. The director minutely focuses on the details in each sequence, relating one to the other. The drama, though, looks repetitive; the credit for making it still watchable goes to the actors.
The story is simple yet engaging, with twists at points, and the screenplay elevates the overall appearance—visually, the drama scores well, showcasing an army background and family drama. With sharp editing, the editor has made each episode interesting.
Performances
Nyra Banerjee as Aditi Rajput, an army officer and a typical Indian wife, is absolutely stunning. She balanced her layered character beautifully, and her expressions added more power to the drama.
Kabeer as Rishab was good. He looked charming and did justice to his grey character, bringing the cunningness, drama, and action.
Neetha Shetty as Myra appeared stunning. She looked stylish, and her character was important for the central conflict. Her expressions, too, added to the drama and emotion.
Overall, Sherni is a decent watch. Following a predictable narrative, the short-format drama engages viewers with hook moments in every episode; the way the actors carry the show makes it worth watching.
