Love is indeed an act of surrender and wishing for the other’s happiness, but it shouldn’t extend to the point where one loses their respect, identity, and value. Story TV’s latest microdrama, CEO Ki Fake Wife, tells one such story, woven into a powerful narrative exploring themes of love, relationships, contract marriage, betrayal, greed, and reconstruction.
The story follows Shruti (played by Akanksha Chamola), a truly dedicated wife who does everything for her husband, Harsh, even to the point of selling herself. However, the story takes a new turn with the entry of Raunak (played by Vibhav Roy), who marries Shruti on a three-month contract after her husband sells her for money. Despite Harsh no longer being Shruti’s husband, he keeps traumatizing, insulting, and abusing her everywhere. However, Raunak always comes to her rescue.
However, what seems like a contract marriage is not the truth of why Raunak married; in fact, she is the one he loves, and a big reason for that is that he wouldn’t have been alive if she had not saved him. But then how did Shruti end up with Harsh, and what will happen when the three-month contract marriage ends? For all the answers, you need to watch the story yourself.
However, one thing I can say is that around every corner, the show will surprise you with unpredictable twists. What makes the show engaging is its dramatic sequences, driven by strong dialogue. Director Aryan Shaikh of the show effortlessly focuses on the dramatic segments.
Actor Vaibhav as Raunak is charming. He portrays his character with sincerity, behaving like a gentleman despite being the owner of one of the biggest design companies. His expression, whether being in love, stressed, or angry, creates impact. At the same time, Akanksha Chamola is the key highlight. As we know, her personality is bold and bubbly; the actress transforms beautifully into a girl who is soft, emotional, and often bends to the situation. But she is full of surprises.
Overall, CEO Ki Fake Wife is a good, engaging watch. The show, in an entertaining and gripping tale, explores the themes of love, betrayal, greed, deceit, and dedication. This defines the real meaning of love and teaches you to value your self-respect before it’s too late.
IWMBuzz rates CEO Ki Fake Wife 3 out of 5 stars!
