Rocket Reels, the digital streaming platform, is one of the noted hubs for original stories on the vertical OTT medium. The platform aims to blend Bollywood-level cinematic production values with short-form algorithms. It has a growing library of content with genres like crime thrillers, gritty romance, supernatural horror, suspense, and situational comedy covered.
Aadhyaa Films, which earlier worked with Sharad Malhotra and Ruslaan Mumtaz in its first two projects for Rocket Reels, will now work with Mahesh Shetty for its upcoming series, where he will don the role of Lord Krishna.
The story titled Main aur Krishna, will be about the tale of Lord Krishna coming down to help a child, who is his big devotee. The fantasy genre series will have Bigg Boss fame Hema Shharmaa playing the mother, while child actor Anngad Raaj, known for his portrayal in Yeh Meri Family, will play the young boy who will seek the guidance of Lord Krishna. The story will be special as it will be a microdrama shot vertically as well as horizontally.
Rocket Reels has reportedly made history in cinema by becoming the first platform to release 10 original series in a single day, setting a world record just 9 months after launch. With 70+ shows already live and 15 more officially announced, the platform is rapidly gaining attention for its original storytelling, movie-quality production, and strong star cast lineup.
