Early 2020 seem to mark a radical departure in the career of Hina Khan. For her dream of coming out of her TV zone and trying out other avenues as well, is finally fructifying.

After impressing one and all, with her complexed Hungama Play’s Damaged 2 character,  her other long-awaited short, Smartphone directed by Ankush Bhatt, will also start streaming on ULLU sometime next month. The production baton is shared by Ashish Kapoor and Ankush as well.

Those who have seen the above short have loved Hina’s work in the same. We will not say more, why you don’t watch it, when it streams.

Hina has two different looks in the film, which she had herself posted on social media.

She, then, had also tweeted the following, “My love for acting has brought me many challenges, and I love challenging myself. Transition from a certain image improves my ability to enact and play something completely different. Versatility is breaking out of the regular, I tried hope u’ll like it! #SmartPhone coming soon (sic).”

Kunal Roy Kapoor and Akshay Oberoi join Hina in the main cast of Smartphone.

“Hina has successfully managed to break out of the good bahu image, which afflicts many TV stars, adds a source.”

Hina first broke out of her Akshara (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) image, courtesy stints in Bigg Boss 11, and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8.

Hina is also now awaiting her B- Town shift with her Vikram Bhatt produced, Hacked hitting the theatres on 7th February.  She also has an off-beater (Lines) and an international project (Country of Blind) in her kitty.

Talking about Hina, Ankush says, “Hina is one of the most talented persons I have come across. Her dedication towards the role and passion for achieving minute detailing is impressive… Punctual, no tantrums and very down to earth, what else would a director want? We become great friends in just a matter of two days.”

Our team tried to get in touch in with Hina, but could not get through to her for a comment.
