The Indian digital medium is simply on the verge of a widespread expansion in terms of great and out-of-the-box content. There have been many big players and streaming giants who have contributed to the success of the OTT platforms with some innovative, top-notch brainstorming concepts. And when it is two in a bush, joining hands to give audiences the biggest boom possible, there has to be a big splash and huge noise.
One such is bound to happen in the digital medium with news of the two big giants MX Player and ALTBalaji coming in for an association, as per our credible industry sources.
We, at IWMBuzz.com, have learnt that a content partnership deal is inked between MX Player and ALTBalaji.
ALTBalaji helmed by Ekta Kapoor has been having a real good time and space in the OTT business. The tie-up with MX Player, which is a huge platform, worthy of all rewards, will only make the space more vibrant in terms of good content.
As per a reliable source, “ALTBalaji is all set to crack a deal which will mean that it will come up with some really good content, which will be streamed on MX Player. The deal is expected to be similar to that of ALT’s with ZEE5, which as per sources is up for renewal this year. ALT and MX will simulcast the originals which will be created by ALT.”
We buzzed Karan Bedi, CEO, MX Player but did not get any revert.
We also reached out to Ekta Kapoor for a comment but did not get any response till the time of filing the article.
