There is bad news for Sana Makbool Khan and Vishal Vashishtha fans for Colors supernatural show Vish, starring their favourites, will not return with a season 2, is what we have been told by our credible sources. The second season was supposed to be digital only on Voot.
This Peninsula Production also starring Debina Bonnerjee as the main antagonist and Krip Suri had wrapped up in September end to make way for Bigg Boss 13 at the 10.30 pm slot.
At first, it was speculated that maybe the show will return with a season 2, albeit on web. But soon that plan was shelved as the costing did not work out, as per sources.
And chances of a return on broadcast post Bigg Boss were always slim for first season did not rate much, added our source.
Producer Alind confirmed the scrapping when he replied the following to our query.
“We were doing a new story for Vish 2, but why we are not doing it could be best answered by the network.”
Vishal and Sana did not reply to our messages till the time of filing of story. While Debina added, “Yes, the web thing is not happening and we have no information so far of a possible return on Colors as well. I enjoyed my stint getting to play a glammy negative character.”
Our attempts to reach the channel spokesperson for more clarity, has so far come to naught.
