Fresh off his National Award win for Best Actor in a Leading Role for 12th Fail, Vikrant Massey continues to be celebrated as one of the best actors in Bollywood. With his incredible range and layered performances, he has won the hearts of audiences and carved his place among the finest of this generation. Among his many memorable roles, Sector 36 stands out as the project where he completely shifted gears.
As Sector 36 completes one year, it is worth reminiscing how Vikrant Massey brilliantly portrayed a psychotic serial killer in the film. While audiences saw him as an innocent student in 12th Fail, he completely transformed himself into a dark, complex character in Sector 36. This truly speaks volumes about his brilliance as an actor.
Known for immersing himself fully into every role, Vikrant kept motivating himself every single day on the sets of Sector 36. Speaking about the same in an interview, he shared, “Shooting away from home adds another layer of challenge. You’re not returning to your family after a long day; instead, you’re going back to a hotel, which can be daunting. There were moments on set when I felt genuinely scared. I wouldn’t say I was nervous, but I definitely felt that cold sensation in my hands and feet while filming. Which is why I was adamant about not bringing the character home with me,”
Sector 36 premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, where Vikrant received an outpouring of love and admiration from the audience. His performance in Sector 36 earned widespread praise from both fans and critics alike.
Moreover, Vikrant Massey boasts an interesting line up ahead. He will be seen stepping into the role of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar in his upcoming, White.
