Saturday night was a LIT night for all Punjabis and non-Punjabis alike, as none other than the G.O.A.T— Diljit Dosanjh was in town. The popular artist not only offered a live concert but also an unforgettable night to the people of Delhi-NCR. And for a die-hard like me, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Even though the management became disorderly at the entrance gates, the appearance and voice of the artist made everything worthwhile in the end and beginning.
For those unfamiliar, Diljit’s performance in Gurgaon as part of his much-anticipated ‘Born To Shine World Tour 2022’ in India, drew over 30 thousand adoring admirers of all ages and genders. Unlike other concerts I’ve seen, the singer, also known as the ‘King of Swag,’ was on time and delivered an exciting performance that lasted up to three hours. Diljit dazzled us not just with his singing, but also with his eccentric fashion sense. Throughout his performance, the singer changed into a variety of clothes as part of his #OOTN to the audience. Diljit declared at the start of his concert, as the audience erupted in applause, “This is my first live performance since the pandemic. After two years, I’m back on stage, and nothing will stop me today, guys. I’m not going to stop.”
Apart from that, Diljit grabbed everyone’s heart when he put a young boy in the spotlight while he sang Bhangra on stage. Not just his admirers, but also a number of celebrities, appreciated his generosity and down-to-earth demeanor.
