Out of Love is an Indian web series and a Hindi adaptation of British show Doctor Foster by Mike Bartlett. A Hotstar special series, it is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Aijaz Khan. Out of love stars Rasika Dugal as Meera and Purab Kohli as Akarsh in the lead roles. The story is told from the perspective of Meera, who becomes suspicious of every female friend of her husband after she finds a long, coloured hair strand of another woman on his scarf. The series is streaming on Hotstar since 22 November’19. It is a thriller full of family drama.
The Hotstar special web series Kanpuriye takes you through three different stories set in Kanpur. It focuses on ‘big dreams of people from a small town.’ Kanpur is the land of ‘shattered dreams’. But the dreams still exist, still, change shape, and sometimes, still come true. Just perhaps, not in the way we imagined them. It’s an imperfect story of three imperfect main characters. But that, combined with the show’s realistic setting and characters, is what makes it an interesting watch. Kanpuriye is not a show without flaws, but it’s worth a watch. Because it reminds you that dreams are often the same.
