3. Fate/Grand Order
Fate/Grand Order is based on the hugely popular Fate anime series. It’s your typical gacha mobile RPG. You assemble a large cast of characters from the long-running series and engage in combat with the evil guys. It has a story mode, and online PvP, and is geared toward free-to-play (F2P) users. The majority of the cast is also completely voiced. Those small details are appreciated. Of course, it suffers from the same flaws as any other mobile gacha. There’s a lot of grinding, a little luck, and a lot of dumb dialogue. The Fate series, on the other hand, is very similar. Plus, it’s one of the few RPGs on mobile that can be played in landscape format. It’s always a wonderful thing to have more space.
4. One Piece Treasure Cruise
It’s strange to imagine that there are grownups on this planet who have experienced life without One Piece. The same can be said for anime games and Treasure Cruise. The game has existed for quite some time. Like other anime games, it’s a gacha RPG. You can choose from a pool of 2,000 characters, making it one of the largest gachas ever created. There are numerous storylines to complete, seasonal events to complete, and a plethora of activities to partake in. It may appear daunting at first but persevere. Most things become second nature after a while.
5. Dragon Ball Legends
Dragon Ball Legends is a fighting game with aspects of light RPG, gacha, and adventure. It includes both a story mode and online PvP multiplayer. You can also amass a collection of all of the Dragon Ball characters. Many free-to-play mobile fighters use similar battle concepts. Rather than sophisticated physics, it’s mostly a succession of simple taps and swipes. I’ve always found the Dragon Ball series to be a little too dry, and the game is no exception. Fans of the series, on the other hand, appear to prefer this one to most of the other mobile Dragon Ball games.
