Nita Ambani once again brought Indian craftsmanship into the spotlight with her traditional appearance at the Reliance Deepawali Utsav. Celebrating the richness of India’s cultural heritage, she chose a handwoven vermilion-red Ramavali Banarasi silk saree from Swadesh. The ensemble was more than just a festive fashion statement; it reflected devotion, artistry and the timeless beauty of Banaras’ weaving traditions.
For the special occasion, Mrs Ambani wore a beautiful Ramavali saree handwoven by master artisan Shri Ajay Bhoj. The vermilion-red colour added a festive and auspicious touch, while the intricate weaving highlighted the exceptional craftsmanship associated with Banarasi silk. Ramavali weaving holds a special spiritual significance, with its traditional motifs inspired by the stories and devotional heritage of Lord Ram. The saree beautifully brought together faith, culture and India’s rich textile legacy.
Through Swadesh, Nita Ambani has consistently highlighted the work of India’s skilled artisans and traditional craftspeople. Her choice for the Deepawali celebration reflected this vision, placing homegrown craftsmanship at the centre of an important festive occasion.

However, what made her appearance even more striking was her jewellery. Nita Ambani accessorised the saree with a heavy, intricately crafted, multi-layered vintage statement necklace. The exquisite piece featured traditional Indian jewellery techniques, including Kundan, Polki and detailed Jadau work set in a gold framework. The uncut diamonds added a natural sparkle, while the elaborate gold detailing gave the necklace a royal and heritage-inspired appeal.
The statement necklace beautifully complemented the rich vermilion-red saree, creating a look that felt both grand and deeply rooted in Indian traditions. Rather than taking away from the saree, the jewellery enhanced its regal appeal.
Nita Ambani’s appearance at the Reliance Deepawali Utsav was a celebration of Indian artistry. From the handwoven Banarasi silk to the intricate traditional jewellery, every element reflected the beauty of preserving India’s cultural heritage through fashion.
