Yoga is a science or system which helps a human being to integrate the powers of body, mind and soul.

Yoga is a valuable gift or a legacy from the rich cultural heritage of our great country to the world at large. Yoga exercises are not merely physical exercises but a system which helps in the development of the human body.

Practice of Yogasana helps in enhancing concentration and improves the various systems such as the respiratory, circulatory and nervous systems.

  1. Arda Halasana: Lie on your back with your head straight and look up. Keep the arms close to the body. Lift your legs without bending at the knees. Lift your legs further up and bring them up at 90°. Knees straight. Slowly brings the legs down. Then slowly bring the legs down and touch the ground. Original position.
  2. Sukha Asana- Sit on the floor. Legs stretched and close to each other, hands by your sides. Bend the left leg and place the foot below the right thigh. Bend the right leg and place the foot below the left thigh. Keep your hands straight on the knees. Palm facing the sky. Close your eyes and meditate for some time. Sit erect. Slowly open your eyes after some time. Place the hands on to the ground, by the sides. Straighten the right leg. Straighten the left leg. Original position.
  3. Pranayam- Sit in Sukha Asana. Close your eyes. Keep your one hand on the chest. Take a deep breath through the nose and expand the chest. Keep the body straight. Slowly exhale. Back to Sukha Asana.
