Which is your favourite corner in your house?

My dining area is very close to my heart because the table is made of one piece of wood; we took a lot of time to get a dining table like that. It’s an eight-seater, on one side there is a bench and on the other side are vintage cane work. Chairs and everything is made from one piece of wood with a marble top and it’s the most peaceful area for me.

What should your dream house look like?

My dream house would be a little bigger and very close to my current house because I can’t part with my in-laws and brother in law. I would be closer but the house will be a little bigger because I have a lot of stuff.

What colour combination would you like to paint your house?

White, I’m always a white person. Furniture can be white, black or brown as far as cushions and accessories are concerned. I have a bright red chair which is adorable. I love full loud and bright colours. My cushions are vintage cushions actually with prints of people.

Which celebrity house would you want to be yours?

No, I wouldn’t want to own anybody else’s house. I would like to make my own and others should tell me that “we want her house”.

Who will be the first guest that you would call after designing your dream house?

There would be five people that I would want to call. I don’t know them but I want to call them. I would like to have Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts and Chris Hemsworth. I would love to call them at my house.

What should your window view look like?

Overlooking the sea and the sand, blue and white sky, the birds flying -that’s what it should look like. Plus I want a small mountain or maybe an island in between which would look like a mountain. I love both mountains and beaches, so I want both.

Which part of your house you don’t like?

I love my kitchen but I don’t like the fact that I cannot cook to save my life. My kitchen has got Spanish tiles. It’s got placed from Italy.

What will be your priceless contribution to the decor:

That I’m living in it.

If you have to stick posters in your house, what posters will you stick?

I do have some. It’s outside my house, in my corridor. All are vintage frames from watches to perfume and superheroes posters are also there. In my bedroom, I do have pictures of the initial years of Arhan with my closest people.

Any idea for home decor that you ever got after watching anything? (Can be a movie, ad, poster, web series, friend’s house etc)

No, everything is somewhere original. I love Parsi houses because they have furniture carved with one piece of wood or in cane or marble; it looks plain and simple and is artistic. Harshal loves modern stuff, so we tried to amalgamate both and be in peace with what we both like. If I travel and come back, I get something unique. From Turkey, we bought a nameplate but we, unfortunately, lost it.

Wallpaper or paint?

Paint but I wouldn’t mind trying wallpaper one day, but it has to go with the decor of my house. It has to be one statement wallpaper more than wallpaper. I wouldn’t mind somebody painting on my wall rather than wallpaper. So, I think it would be painting.
