Even the creation of a cocktail is an art. But when you find a bar that serves excellent food and beverages, you know it’s the place to be. Here is a list of Bangkok bars with outstanding bar menus.

After the pandemic, Bangkok’s beverage sector is slowly but surely recovering. Unfortunately, many businesses shut their doors, but many others have survived and many new ones have launched. Bars are once again the places to be seen, and new drinkers are created every evening.

We all enjoy a good drink, but in order to win over the group, some delectable cuisine must be served alongside the beverages. There are numerous bars in the city that provide outstanding bar food menus, including everything from dim sum to Isaan delicacies. Don’t be hesitant to go in for a drink, even if you’re starving.

1. Ba Hao: Nothing sounds better than attempting creative cocktails with familiar and beloved Szechuan flavors. The comfort foods that will bring back the finest memories of family gatherings—shrimp egg rolls, quail egg soup drop soup, general tso chicken—now come without the intrusive questions the aunts used to ask. Try their famous treat, soy pudding with goji berry syrup, before you depart. It’s a terrific way to finish dinner and decompress after drinking.

2. Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar: For very good reasons, Mahaniyom is a favorite of many cocktail connoisseurs. The cocktails are inventive, and cool, and provide options for everything from a sweet little night out to a full tale of adventure. If the latter applies to you, order their “Squid,” a beverage created with mirin, ginger cordial, tomato juice that has been infused with dry squid, and squid ink on top. Yes, we are aware of how it sounds and that it tastes somewhat similar to a roller coaster, but in a nice manner. Their bar food selection, which is equally unique and tasty, is underappreciated. Their papaya fritters are amazing, their stuffed calamari is filling, and their pork belly is crispy.

3. Villa Frantzén: The Nordic restaurant Villa Frantzén has been the talk of the town ever since they arrived in Bangkok. But in addition to their five-course tasting menu, the bar has been offering nothing but the best while customers relax inside the calm, serene atmosphere outside in the lush green garden. Their expertly poached oyster, shown above, is served with smoked cream, finger lime, and sea buckthorn oil. Try it with the Plum & Miso, a velvety cocktail created with dry gin, cognac, plum, almond, chamomile, and, of course, blonde miso. It is one of their hallmark beverages and unquestionably our favorite from the bar.
