One of the things that distinguish the Marvel Cinematic Universe films from other superhero films is that they strike the appropriate blend of seriousness and hilarity. It’s difficult to strike that balance, but it does exist.

Furthermore, when you have such amazing performers in your films – like Marvel has – the most memorable sequences and phrases don’t always need to be in the screenplay. There are so many sequences from the movies that fans remember to this day, regardless of whether they saw them yesterday or 10 years ago; and it’s both unexpected and astounding that some of them were improvised by the performers.

What else can we write about these days other than Avengers and Marvel? Here are some of the finest unscripted sequences.

1. Tony Stark And His Blueberries

Many fans are aware that Robert Downey Jr gets hungry often and, as a result, prefers to hide food about the set. When he felt hungry while filming a scene with Mark Ruffalo and took out blueberries, one of his snack breaks made it into ‘The Avengers.’ Isn’t it true that no one can ever say no to Robert Downey Jr.?

2. Thor Hanging His Hammer On A Coat Rack

‘Thor: The Dark World,’ as the title implies, is meant to be a dark and serious film, but that doesn’t rule out the inclusion of any comedy. As it turns out, the man himself improvised one particularly amusing sequence. Thor is perplexed as to what to do with his hammer as he walks inside an apartment. So, how does he go about his business? Of course, he places it on the coat rack.

3. The Avengers Eating Shawarma

Marvel loves post-credits sequences, and the one in ‘The Avengers’ is maybe the finest. After rescuing the world, the Avengers are shown sitting calmly at a shawarma joint. Robert Downey Jr., of course, was the inspiration for the scenario. Finally, Tony Stark is on the verge of dying just as the Hulk blocks his fall. Then, surrounded by all of the Avengers, he asks, “What’s next?” before suggesting that they all go out for shawarma afterward.
