The protagonist of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Elizabeth Swann, has one of the strongest character journeys. She began as the hapless damsel who dreaded pirates and became a powerful warrior who could stand her ground against anyone.

Elizabeth’s personality evolved, but she was always fearless, tenacious, and impetuous from the start. Despite the fact that she only appears as a prominent protagonist in the initial three films, she retains a lot of catchy quips that render her a memorable figure.

That being said, here we have three of her best moments from the series, when she won it off with her strong persona in the series, read to know

1. In the climactic fight of At World’s End, Will asks Elizabeth to wed him since he knows they may perish at any moment. When they exchange vows in the midst of a lightsaber duel in a whirlwind and Elizabeth replies, “In Sickness And In Health, With Health Being The Less Likely,”

2. When Elizabeth shows bravery after being abducted, letting us know of her fearless trait. She was resolved not to allow Barbossa spook her, but minutes after procuring this phrase, she was ambushed by a ship full of devil pirates, and therefore it changes her entire perspective in the line up.

3. The time Elizabeth speaks to Jack all the way from her heart, saying, “Jack, It Would Never Have Worked Out Between Us”. For since the very beginning their relationship has been complicated.
