Being the brother of Siddharth Roy Kapur, the former managing director of The Walt Disney Company India, and the former president of the Producers Guild of India, most people would say Aditya Roy Kapur was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. But the actor opted to forge his professional course. Beginning as a VJ on Channel V India, he quickly gained attention for his eccentric style and the newness he brought to the role of host. His Bollywood debut came in 2009 with the Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn film London Dreams, but it was in 2013 that he received his major break as a lead actor.

The 2013 movie, a follow-up to the well-liked 90s movie Aashiqui, marked his first and biggest professional breakthrough. He portrayed the drunken singer Rahul Jaykar in the drama. The movie was a huge hit at the box office and was also 2013’s biggest musical hit. The movie, which was directed by Mohit Suri and made by Mukesh Bhatt, also starred Shraddha Kapoor.

Fitoor

Although the Aditya Roy Kapur film didn’t do well at the box office when it was released, everyone praised the actor for his performance. The film, which is based on Charles Dickens’ 1861 novel Great Expectations, stars Noor as a middle-class Kashmiri boy. Noor falls in love with Firdaus, the wealthy employer’s daughter and their lives are forever altered.

Kalank

Although Kalank, a masterpiece by Karan Johar, did not perform well at the box office, Roy Kapur’s performance was adored by many. He portrayed liberal newspaper publisher Dev Chaudhry. Ludo

An Anurag Basu masterpiece, Ludo featured an ensemble cast, Bollywood’s biggest names, and multiple parallel plots. Akash Chauhan, portrayed by Aditya Roy Kapur, is a sincere and upright man who is also poor. That turns out to be the biggest antagonist in his love story, and the woman he loves departs from him.
