On the eve of Akshay Tritiya (May 15th), iconic actor from Bengali film industry Prosenjit Chatterjee recorded a special video message to director Ram Kamal Mukherjee’s forth coming film Rickshawala. Set in the backdrop of Kolkata, Rickshawala travels through the lanes and the by lanes of the city and also caters to the various emotional journey of the main protagonist. The film features Bollywood actor Avinash Dwivedi, Sangita Sinha and Kasturi Chakraborty. The film will be exclusively streaming on BIIGGBANG.

In a special video message Prosenjit Chatterjee says, “I really loved Rickshawala. It has lot of layers, lot of emotions. My heartiest congratulations to Ram Kamal and the entire cast and crew of Rickshawala, I have already watched the film and I am sure you will also love the film”. Taking about the director Ram Kamal Mukherjee, he says, “ Ram Kamal is like a younger brother to me, I have been knowing him since long and now that he has turned director I am really happy for him. I have seen his last release Seasons Greeting’s: A Tribute To Rituparno Ghosh and I loved it”.

The critically acclaimed Bengali film hasalso successfully brought back the award for the Best Human Rights Film at the Cardiff International Film Festival, while its talented director, Ram Kamal Mukherjee also won the awards for the Best Director at International Film and Television Entertainment Award, Australia and the Rajasthan International FilmFestival.

Om Puri Foundation, Ms Nandita Puri and Ishaan Puri has joined hands with Rickshawala. After watching the film Nandita says, “ I loved Ram Kamal’s Rickshawala. I thought his film was very touching. The riveting film produced by Aritra Das, Sarbani Mukherjee and Gaurav Daga also made its way to the ImagineIndia festival held at Madrid and Spain, and also fetched laurels including the Best Actor and Best Director award at the 13 th Ayodhya International Film Festival.
