When it comes to a country like India, people have forever been judged for different reasons. Women, in particular, have had to deal with a patriarchal society for the longest time but given the way we are moving forward in the right direction, we truly feel that progression is happening. Quite often, female celebrities are often chosen as soft targets for trolling and it seems like South India’s ‘Lady Superstar’ aka Nayanthara too had to deal with her fair share of trolling for her outfit choices.

As per reports in BollywoodLife, the Netrikann was once denied entry into a temple because she was reportedly wearing salwar kameez. Reports suggest that way back in 2009, Nayanthara had gone to offer her prayers at the auspicious Killikaavil temple in Kerala on Vishu (Malayalam New Year). The entry into the temple was allowed only for women wearing saris and since she was wearing salwar kameez, she was denied entry inside. Reports further suggest that she tried her best to forcefully enter but eventually, she had to apologize for trying to break the internal rules of the temple.
