Deepika Padukone is the first woman who has been ranked in the ‘Top 5’ of the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list. After her fantabulous performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavaat’ opposite her beau Ranveer Singh, she is next essaying the real-life roles of Lakshmi in Chhapaak and Romi in ‘83′. ‘83’ also stars her husband Ranveer Singh, who is essaying the role of the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian captain, Kapil Dev. And just recently, to add to the list of her portfolio, Deepika Padukone became the only Bollywood actress to feature in the list of ‘The Most Powerful People of India 2019’. Some of her earlier accomplishments include the ‘Most Gorgeous Women in the World from Bollywood’, and due to her credible film choices, she has topped the list as well.
The actress is known for her versatility and her de-glam role of Lakshmi for Chhapaak is proof that the actress is the perfect blend for strong and powerful roles. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is all set to release on 10th January 2020. It is also to be noted that ‘83’ will be Deepika Padukone’s first collaboration with Ranveer Singh after the pair got hitched in Italy last year.
