Yes, you read it right! the actress auditioned for the role of Pia Sahastrabuddhe, however didn’t get it, and later Kareena Kapoor bagged the role. Talking about the same, she said, in a video “I had auditioned for a lead role in a film in 2007. And, that film was 3 Idiots. No one knows it, no one watched the audition. You have not watched it, Raju sir has not watched it.”
Later we can see the director saying, in the video, “Anushka auditioned for 3 Idiots? No, no, no. Anushka never auditioned for 3 Idiots.”. With this, Sharma shows them the audio clip, where she is seen delivering a certain dialogue from Munna Bhai MBBS, as stated in Hindustan Times.
