Relationships of all kinds have been widely celebrated in Bollywood. Siblings are an example of such a relationship. While the brother-sister relationship has always been the focus, there have been a few outstanding films about sister-sister and brother-brother relationships. Today we bring you a selection of films in which a sister watches out for her sister and a brother wishes for his brother’s health and happiness; in the end, it’s the sibling love that matters.

No One Killed Jessica

The film depicted a sister’s strength and her love for her deceased sibling. The fact that the film is based on a true story enhances our argument that a sister’s bond is unbreakable and that when the time comes, they will go to any length for each other.

Karan Arjun

Who doesn’t know about this film ‘Karan Arjun’, a story of two brothers? Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan play the role of brothers in this film. This film was directed by Rakesh Roshan. The story of reincarnation is told in this film. The two main characters in the film are killed by their uncle, Thakur Arjun Singh (Amrish Puri), after which their mother prays to the goddess Kali for years, and years later the two brothers are reborn into separate families.

Haseena Maan Jaayegi

One of the funniest films of the late 1990s is this comedy starring Govinda and Sanjay Dutt as brothers. What’s charming is Govinda and Sanjay Dutt’s friendship, and how they help each other and become each other’s backbone at every opportunity.

Gangs of Wasseypur

It was all about relationships and retribution in this picture. A son seeks vengeance for his father’s death, a sibling seeks vengeance for his brother’s death, and a mother defends her son’s actions. There was some kickass action in this picture, but there was also an unspoken, unconditional love between siblings. Anurag Kashyap deserves praise for expressing sibling love in the most understated way possible.
