Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas

Taylor attacked Joe on The Ellen DeGeneres Show not long after Joe broke up with an 18-year-old Taylor over the phone. “When I discover the proper person for me, he’ll be fantastic. And when I see that person, I won’t even recall the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18,” she remarked. In a video posted on her official MySpace that same year, Taylor referenced Joe and the phone conversation once more. “See, this one even comes with a phone, see, so he can break up with other dolls,” T.Swift added, clutching a Joe Camp Rock and a Taylor doll.

Sam Smith and Jonathan Zeizel

Sam honored his ex-boyfriend, actor, and model Jonathan Zeizel, in his acceptance speech for Record of the Year for “Stay With Me” at the 57th Grammy Awards. “This is just a fast one. I’d like to express my gratitude to the man who inspired this song and with whom I fell in love last year. Thank you very much for shattering my heart by winning four Grammy Awards.”

Katy Perry and Diplo

During a Livestream to showcase her new album, Witness, Katy was asked to rank her ex-boyfriend “from greatest to worst in bed” by guest James Corden. John Mayer took first place, followed by Orlando Bloom, with Diplo in third place. “I don’t even remember having sex,” Diplo said on Twitter.

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles

Taylor not only wrote songs about Harry (“I Knew You Were Trouble,” “Style,” to name a few), but she also performed songs about him. With Harry in the crowd, Taylor opened the Grammys in 2013 with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” (about Jake Gyllenhaal). Taylor assumed a British accent and changed the lyrics to “I’m busy opening the Grammys” while speaking about him contacting her. Taylor acknowledged “the person who influenced this song, who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these” at the VMAs later that year in her acceptance speech for Best Female Video for “I Knew You Were Trouble.” “Thank you a lot!”

Jennifer Lopez and Drake

Dra-Lo was a one-hit-wonder in late 2016, but the world will never forget Drake and J.Lo snuggling on Instagram. That, and this video of J.Lo yelling “bootycall” over the initial notes of “Hotline Bling” months later at one of her Las Vegas gigs.

Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid

Joe became open about his ex-Gigi and her boyfriend Zayn in an interview with The Daily Mirror, months after deleting a #squad photo of himself, Zayn, and Kanye West at Paris Fashion Week on Instagram. “It’s remarkable how soon she moved on, I mean it was really swift.” Ouch.
