Actress Manasi Parekh who was rewarded with the Best Actress National Award for her commendable portrayal in the Gujarati film Kutch Express, is grateful to her mother for having raised her as a confident and hard-working individual. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Manasi talks exclusively to IWMBuzz.com and shares her thoughts on her mother and her daughter.

Talking about the close bond she shares with her mother, Manasi says, “I share a very close bond with my mom. My day begins and ends with a conversation with her over the phone. From planning meals and groceries to discussing any challenges I face, I share everything with her. She is always there for me, and I am truly grateful for the beautiful connection we share.”

Her mother has been her inspiration. “My mom is incredibly giving, compassionate, kind, and at the same time, very dynamic. I have tried to incorporate these qualities into my own life, my personality, and the way I approach my relationships, the people around me, and my work. She has always been a working mother, and I am deeply inspired by how beautifully she balances her career and home. Of course, she manages the kitchen ten times better than I ever can! There is always something to learn from her, whether it is wisdom, life lessons, or kitchen skills,” she shares.

Talking about rating herself as mother, Manasi quips, “I don’t believe mothers should rate themselves, we are not Uber service apps, we are people. We are constantly learning, evolving, and growing. I will never rate myself as a mother because I truly believe that any mother who is trying her best to care for her children while also living the life she wants is already a 10 out of 10. It doesn’t matter who she is, where she is, or what she is doing; that effort makes her an incredible mom.”

On her bond with her daughter, the actress avers, “Nirvi and I share a very chill, friendly bond where she feels completely free to be honest with me about whatever is on her mind. And I, in turn, share my own thoughts, fears, and issues with her. Sometimes she surprises me by giving such wise, spot-on advice that I am amazed a child so young can have such clarity. But that is the beautiful thing about children, their energy and insights are so pure. While adults can get lost or confused, children often offer clear, honest perspectives. That is exactly how it is between Nirvi and me. We have a fun, happy, adventurous, and totally cool vibe together.”

She continues to say, “My mom gives me a lot of valuable advice, but two things stand out the most. First, she always reminds me to stay positive in any situation. While it is easy to say, it is often hard to practice, especially when you are feeling low or facing difficulties. But I have learned that if you can truly hold on to positivity during tough times, it can elevate you to an entirely new level. The second important lesson I have learned from her is the art of surrender. When things are not going your way, it is natural to feel angry or frustrated. But sometimes, instead of resisting, you simply need to surrender, to trust the process and allow things to unfold as they are meant to.”

Her secret aspiration as a mother will be, “As a mother, I want to be there for my daughter in all the big and small moments of her life, making sure she grows up surrounded by abundance, happiness, and kindness. If I can achieve that for her, I will consider it a job well done.”
