The newly married couple Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda became the subject of discussion after their confessions on Koffee With Karan Season 9. A few days after criticism over Devarakonda’s comments about their marriage dynamic—labeling him a “red flag”—the couple issued statements to clear the air. While Rashmika defended her husband with firm, emotional words, Vijay took a more satirical route, posting a comedy reel mocking armchair internet critics.
However, after Rashmika’s fiery clarification about her confession on Koffee With Karan, Netizens have begun drawing sharp parallels between her real-life defense of her husband and her character Geetanjali’s intense, fiercely loyal persona in the blockbuster film Animal.
Fans quickly pointed out that the writing style of her Instagram statement mirrored the cadence of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s cinematic dialogue. In her multi-page note, Rashmika detailed how Vijay has been her rock, writing: “When I snap a bone, you aren’t there. He is. When my stomach hurts every month, you aren’t there. He is. When I wake up in the middle of the night with anxiety, you aren’t there. He is.”
The Reddit user shared this, saying, “A part of Rashmika’s clarification for Koffee episode with The Vijay is going viral as it draws parallels to this scene from Animal.” And shared this dialogue along with the scene from the film.

While Vijay, in his post, wrote, “My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right. For all those concerned, We are both gloriously happy. I am blessed. If it’s me and her against the world – so be it. Big love to all those who celebrate love and the simplicity of living happily. Now, with absolutely no intended kindness or respect, everyone else can go fuck themselves. :)) Deverakonda Vijay Sai.”
