Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone worked together in the Lafangey Parindey. However, some rumours were making rounds at the time that the two might have something cooking in between. But with time the rumours of their love tale got blurred and were never brought in front again.
What’s more, some add-ons made by Neil Nitin Mukesh back in 2010 rooted the rumours even more evident. In a tweet, he said, “I stood outside Deepika’s door yesterday with a red rose for three hours. Then I realized that she had gone for the promotions of Aarakshan.”, as quoted by Koi Moi.
In a report by IB Times, it is stated that Neil once said in an interview, “She is one of the sweetest people I know. She is almost family – my 4 am friend whom I can talk to about anything and everything. Her smile is so contagious. I am very fond of her.”
Deepika Padukone too came out talking of her experience working with Neil, saying, “Working with Neil was a brilliant experience. I think he is a nice, caring man who takes care of everyone on the set. He believes that filmmaking is like a family reunion, he takes interest in everyone’s togetherness. I personally loved working with Neil.”
