Kate Winslet, 47, the Titanic actress feels that a lot of things have changed in the industry. With the narratives of how the industry now has towards the actors, the social media turnover and a lot more, the industry feels different.

What’s more, the Titanic actress also opened up on how Hollywood used to be particular about weight back then. Opening up about the body shaming she reported how she used to get calls that were just concerned about her weight.

Kate Winslet recalls how when she was younger her agent used to get calls where it was asked how much she weighs. She said, “When I was younger my agent would get calls saying, ‘how’s her weight?’,”

She added, “It was hard enough having the flipping News of the World on my doorstep, but that doesn’t even cut it now,”

“That phrase about ‘today’s news being tomorrow’s fish and chip paper’ doesn’t exist. The thing you did when you were … foolish? It may come back to haunt you. Needing to be on one’s guard for young actors is just a different thing. It must be extraordinarily hard.” As quoted by Gulf News.
