Actress Keerthy Suresh works in the South Indian movie industry. After receiving her degree in fashion design, Keerthy, who was a child actress in the early 2000s, made a comeback in leading roles. In the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali, she played her first leading role. She has since signed on for films in Tamil and Telugu as well.

Keerthy worked as a child actress in a couple of her father’s early 2000s productions, including Kuberan (2000), Achaneyanenikkishtam (2001), and Pilots (2002). She made her acting debut in Priyadarshan’s horror comedy Geethaanjali, in which she too played a dual part, 11 years after Kuberan. She shot for Geethaanjali during her semester vacation while also continuing her studies at the time. 2014 saw Keerthy’s next film, Ring Master, which she co-starred in alongside Dileep and was directed by Rafi of the Rafi Mecartin combo. She took on the character of a blind girl, which, in comparison to her dual role in Geethanjali, she claimed was far more difficult.

She agreed to work on her first projects outside of Malayalam in 2014 and concurrently went on to occur in a number of Tamil cinema projects. She starred alongside Vikram Prabhu in A. L. Vijay’s romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2015), though the movie did badly at the box office. She consequently collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan on two movies, Rajini Murugan and Nurse Akka, in quick succession. She also co-starred with Dhanush in Prabhu Solomon’s Rail. She has agreed to star in Ramprasad Ragutu’s Aina Ishtam Nuvvu, her first Telugu movie. The movie, allegedly an adaptation of Rendu Jella Sita (which was also Aina Ishtam Nuvvu’s original title), was described by Keerthy, who would be portraying Janaki, a “bubbly fun figure” akin to Sita, as “a lovely love story on the lines of the Ramayana.” She recently wrapped up filming for the art movie Darboni, in which she played a Kashmiri kid. She also appears in the Tamil films Paambhu Sattai, in which she portrays a poor girl from the lower middle class in Chennai, and the Telugu film Nenu Sailaja. The character of Savitri in the movie Mahanati earned Keerthy Suresh the 2018 National Film Award for Best Actress.

Keerthy Suresh has recently been appearing in movies that focus on women. She has been cast as an actress in movies geared at women after starring in “Miss India,” “Penguin,” “Good Luck Sakhi,” and “Chinni” (Saani Kaayidham). However, Keerthy Suresh is seeking box office hits. Sarkaru Vaari Paata, her first significant film in this regard, made a decent performance at the box office. Her beauty and her effervescent personality in the movie received high appreciation from Mahesh Babu. Keerthy Suresh performed a character that was blatantly commercial. She portrayed Kalaavathi, a Telugu girl.
